About Lindy's Seafood

Located at 1601 E Elizabeth Ave, Linden, NJ 07036, Lindy's Seafood operates as a seafood market serving Linden in New Jersey. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Linden with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in New Jersey may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 10 am–6 pm. It is closed on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Lindy's Seafood at (908) 925-3533; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, facebook.com.

Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 801 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded seafood markets in Linden.

The man was very disrespectful when I asked to use the restroom. He told me, β€œNot for you guys.” As a Black woman, the comment and the way he said it made me feel singled out and uncomfortable. When I confronted him about it and said I would post about the experience on social media, he responded by saying that his wife is Black. I was there purchasing crabs as a customer, and after the interaction, I requested a refund because of how I was treated. Whether or not he intended it that way, his behavior came across as racist and unprofessional, and I felt unwelcome. He has on a red shirt and black glasses. This is all true don’t delete this cause. I’ll repost. It’s sad and this happen today. 30 mins ago. Mind u I have 100,000 followers on ig. Thank u. Have a bless day I’ll never by from yall again. !!!!!!!!!

I wanted crabs on my birthday and went to Lindy's. I was highly disappointed on what should have been medium crabs. Once I got home the crabs looked old and the meat was dry. I have been eating crabs since I was a little girl spending summer vacations in Norfolk, Virginia. No more Lindy's for me.

This spot is a hidden gem in the area, prices are great and food is delicious. Off the fried menu most combos are under $15. The steamed menu has a nice selection, you can essentially build your own seafood boil for half the price of these big corporations. I tried the fried shrimp, and scallops with fries. The shrimp and scallops were nice and crunchy, fries needed a tad bit longer in the fryer but all in all it was a solid meal for $10. The steamed crab legs were good as well. Lastly shoutout to the employees everybody was super sweet and showed great hospitality. Will be trying again when I have a chance!

Some of the best and fresh seafood in New Jersey. They have been here for decades and never disappoint. The fried food thats made on the spot is delicious and the prices are super reasonable. Just bring cash if you order the fried food. I love the shrimp and scallops with fries. $10 bucks is a bargain in these days. The lady who runs the place is really sweet and helpful. Definitely worth trying if you love fresh seafood.

I tried this new spot, and it did not deliver. The shrimp were not good. The texture was off. The whiting sandwich did not smell or taste like fish. I broke open the fish and smelled chemical. It's not a fish smell or taste. I'm not sure why I got the bad fish, but that's my last visit. Fish should not smell like chemical with no flavor of fish. There is no way of knowing if the fish is fresh. They do everything behind walls. Btw, the fish was not the same. Different pieces make me wonder what type of fish they did they sell me. πŸ€” Sadly, the fish smell has lingered in my car and house. It was old fish 😀
